Hotels/Motels/cottages and other non-camping accommodations are not included in the price of the GWTA.
Camping is available in the overnight communities of Blyth, Grand Bend, Port Stanley and Port Dover – there is NO CAMPING in Hamilton, Guelph or London but reasonably priced University residence rooms are available for you to book in these cities. CAA travel will be handling all bookings for University residence rooms.

A list of supported hotels is listed below – please note that there is extremely limited availability in the towns of Port Stanley and Port Dover – we have provided alternative options in nearby towns.
What happens if you choose a hotel not our “supported” list?
Sometimes due to unavailability, you may find that you have to book an accommodation that is not on our list of supported hotels. We will do our very best to deliver luggage to your accommodation. Please try to find a location that is within 5 km (3 miles) of the supported facilities or campground. Inform your host that our team will deliver your luggage well before the official check-in time and pick it up the next morning after you depart. Please confirm with them they will receive and have secure place for your luggage. They are usually very accommodating.
Make sure you complete the Accommodations Survey and provide the name and complete address for your hotel so we know where to take your bags.
Residence Rooms – Booked directly through CAA Travel
Our partners at CAA Travel are handling the booking of reasonably priced University residence rooms in Hamilton, Guelph and London. The process involves 3 steps:
- Complete the online form
- Wait up to 3 business days for CAA’s confirmation form with your order.
- Pay. CAA will call everyone to collect your payment information between late February and the of March.

Please note that in 2025 CAA is unable to assist with booking any accommodations in Goderich, Grand Bend, Port Stanley or Port Dover. You must book these hotels independently using the list of GWTA-supported accommodations below.

Bikes must be stored in Athletic Centre and not in the residences. E-bikes can be charged in the Athletic Centre. Closes at 9 pm. You will not be able to access the bike until morning and must have your bike stored by 9 pm.
Athletic Centre is 1.6 km from Gordon Hall Residence and 600 m from Lanark Dorm Room. Transportation between Gordon Hall and the Athletic Centre will be available.
