Located at the mouth of the Rouge River in Toronto, Parks Canada’s Rouge Beach Improvements project continues throughout 2024.
As part of the first phase of construction on the Route Beach Improvement project, Parks Canada will be removing the existing public washroom located on Rouge Beach with a two-unit accessible washroom planned as a replacement. The existing public washroom at Rouge Beach in Toronto has reached the end of its lifecycle and its placement on the beach itself places it at risk of future erosion damage.
Portable toilets will be placed on site for peak use (est. May-October).
For further information on the important work on the Rouge Beach and in the Rouge National Urban Park, see Parks Canada’s project website.
