Saugeen First Nation

You are here: Home / Community Profiles / Communities / Saugeen First Nation

Saugeen First Nation is a deeply historic First Nation community roughly 3km north of Southampton and 30km west of Owen Sound on the shores of Lake Huron. The First Nation is home to a bevy of local businesses and attractions including the South Sauble Beach Park and the beautiful Saugeen Amphitheatre, where workshops held each July or August allow you the opportunity to connect to Ojibway culture. Join them for the Annual Pow Wow at the James Mason Centre during the second weekend in August.

While you’re in the First Nation, make sure to stop at the Little Barn Craft Shop, featuring native crafts and arts from around Ontario.
