Back again for 2025! Featuring the  Rural on the Ridge cycling loop on Saturday September 27 and an ALL NEW Six Nations voyageur canoe paddling experience on the Grand River on Sunday September 28

We’re celebrating the Greenbelt’s 20th Anniversary with a special Farm Fresh Tour! Grab your bike (or a paddle!) and join us solo or with friends for a supported ride and/or Grand River paddle. This year’s adventure is brought to you by the Waterfront Regeneration Trust and the Greenbelt Foundation, with our friends at CAA and Six Nations Tourism.

New for Sunday: an Indigenous-led voyageur canoe paddle on the Grand River, hosted by Six Nations Tourism—don’t miss it!

Important: Ride Start Times and Locations

Saturday 27 September

Where:Ridge Road Estate Winery , 1205 Ridge Road, Stoney Creek, ON L8J 2X5

When: Registration opens at 8:30am, Ride starts at 9:30am -20km riders will start after the 43km riders have left.

Sunday 28 September

Where: Chiefswood Park, Brant County Highway 54, Ohsweken, ON N0A 1M0.

When:  10:30am – Meet your paddling guides at Chiefswood Park for mandatory safety briefing and introduction to the voyageur canoe.

Saturday September 27 and Sunday, September 28, 2025

Featuring:

Saturday September 27 – Rural on the Ridge cycling tour  – 20/43km

  • Ride 43km or 20 km on Sunday September 29th
  • Rest stops featuring seasonal fruit from local farms.
  •  Featuring the newly created Rural on the Ridge loop along flat and quiet roads with apple orchards, fruit stands and magnificent views across Lake Ontario. The 20km option features the DoFasco off road Trail . Both routes start and finish at Ridge Road Estate Winery.
  • Delicious samples (included) at a number of local farms and businesses.
  • Glass of Ridge Road wine and a light sandwich lunch  included at the Finish at Ridge Rd Winery
  • Route available on Ride with GPS as well as paper maps
  • Suitable for cyclists used to riding 20 – 45km in one day. Some road riding along Ridge Road makes this ride unsuitable for young children
  • Numbers limited to 50 riders.
  • $45.20 includes HST plus Race Roster processing fee ($47.49) for Saturday only.

Sunday September 28 – Six Nations led Paddling tour of the Grand River

  • Join an indigenous led and interpreted 3 Hour Canoe trip along the Grand River, (includes mandatory safety training)
  • Arrive at 10:30am at Chiefswood Park, Brant County Highway 54, Ohsweken, ON N0A 1M0.
  • Learn about the history of Six Nations, the cultural and spiritual importance of the River itself and how traditional teachings are still kept alive today.
  • After the paddle, come ashore and indulge in the culinary creations of Chef David of DEVOUR Food Co. An indigenous chef and caterer who uses locally harvested and foraged ingredients from the Carolinian forests of Six Nations in all that he offers.
  • Registration rate for Sunday only: $80 per person plus Race Roster processing fee – 36 Seats Available

NOTE: A car will be required to travel between the two locations.
