The Great Lakes Waterfront Trail at Corbett Creek in Whitby is closed due to trail improvements and bridge replacement.
The closure affects the trail from Forbes St to Intrepid Park. Improvements include the construction of a new pedestrian bridge, widening of some sections of the paved off-road trail, and a new boardwalk feature.
There is currently no detour route in place to navigate the upcoming closure.
The project is ongoing with an estimated completion by July 31, 2025. Pleases see the project website for more information.
Update: This work was completed and the Trail reopened July 31, 2025.
