Wooden trestle railway bridge on Lakeshore Road east of Newcastle (Clarington) closed for maintenance.
Maintenance on the railway bridge, located just south of Stephenson Road, will occur between July 12 and July 26, 2021, affecting Lakeshore Road between Stephenson and Riley Road. The municipality recommends that traffic detour north of the signed route on Riley Rd or Stephenson Rd to Concession Rd 1. Head immediately south on either Stephenson or Riley, depending on your travel direction, to rejoin the signed route.
