The Great Lakes Waterfront Trail between the Rouge River north to Rodd Ave will be temporarily closed for the weekend of April 22, 2022.

Construction in the area is expected to begin Friday, April 22 at 6 pm with an estimated completion on Monday, April 25 at 6 am.

The pedestrian/cycling bridge between Toronto and Pickering will be closed, as will Rouge Beach. Rouge National Urban Park has advised that all trail access points will be closed.

Detouring around the closure on foot or by bicycle is not recommended. GO Bus service will still be available between Pickering GO and Union Station to bypass the closure, however those hoping to traverse the closure from Rouge Hill will need to take local transit (TTC). Metrolinx has posted some recommended transit options on their GO service update page.

Please respect all posted signage and trail and facility closures.
