
Zoo Road Day Use Area closed March 3 for construction of the new visitor centre in Rouge National Urban Park. There will be no access to Rouge National Urban Park through this area until construction work is complete in 2027.
Construction work on the Route National Urban Park’s new visitor centre begins the week of March 3, 2025! The new visitor centre will be a landmark gateway to Rouge National Urban Park and act as a visitor welcome and orientation area and multi-purpose community and activity space.

The Zoo Road Day Use Area will be closed until construction is completed in 2027. Please make note:
- There is no parking at the Zoo Road Day Use Area for the duration of the closure. Parking will be strictly enforced, and vehicles parked illegally will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense.
- The Toronto Zoo remains open, public transit continues to operate, and parking is available for visitors accessing the zoo.
