Starting in mid-April 2025, the Menesetung Bridge north of Goderich will be closed to all users for essential structural repairs. The closure is expected to last approximately 16 to 20 weeks.
A scenic detour route is available and can be found on the G2G Rail Trail website map (see above image). This alternative path takes you past the historic Tiger Dunlop Tomb before leading down a switchback section maintained by the Maitland Trail Association. Cyclists are advised to dismount when navigating the switchback for safety.
