A small section of the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail at Port Union Waterfront Park may have minor detours while shoreline maintenance is ongoing from April to December 2026.
From April to December 2026, a major shoreline maintenance project will be ongoing at Port Union Waterfront Park, providing erosion protection for park infrastructure.
The Great Lakes Waterfront Trail will remain open during construction, though there may be a minor detour route and/or delays when construction equipment is crossing the trail. Flag personnel will be present during trail crossings.
