You are here: Home / Community Profiles / Communities / Collingwood

Cradling the meandering shoals of Georgian Bay’s southern shores you’ll find the booming port town of Collingwood, your gateway to Simcoe County. A unique blend of both the modern and the historic await. You’ll find plenty of opportunities to connect to this lively community by enjoying its wealth of unique shops, cafés and, restaurants.  Collingwood also features 3 craft breweries, a vibrant local arts scene, a heritage downtown and its lakeside parks.  Those who like to get outside will find easy access to swimming as well as other watersports. And of course, you can always take your bike out for a ride along the harbor circle route or the north train trail to experience the spectacular views at Millenium Park.

Collingwood marks the southern terminus of the Georgian Trail, a popular 34 km multi-use path connecting the heart of the town’s waterfront to the village of Thornbury and Meaford.

Collingwood hosts an array of events. For all the latest, follow the town on Facebook at experiencecollingwood.
