Grey County

You are here: Home / Community Profiles / Communities / Grey County

Situated two hours north of Toronto, Grey County offers beauty you can’t get in the city, and a lifestyle that’s relaxed and family-oriented.

Framed by the breathtaking landscapes of Georgian Bay, verdant river alleys, and the renowned wonders of the Niagara Escarpment and Blue Mountain, Grey County pairs the sophistication and convenience of urban living with the timeless charm of small town and rural Ontario.

In Grey County, you can experience four seasons of adventure from cycling and hiking to paddlesports, climbing and skiing. Cyclists will find a variety of opportunities close at hand. Try a leisurely trail for a casual ride or a smooth road for some speed; grip those handles and grind some gravel in Meaford or strap on your armour for some downhill at Blue Mountain.

Wander cerulean shores. Exult in warm sand and shimmering waters or take in broad vistas as the land falls away before you. Delight in great food, welcoming communities, soft beds and glittering skies. For two hours, two days, two weeks or more, you’ll find plenty of reasons to return to Grey County.
