Kincardine

You are here: Home / Community Profiles / Communities / Kincardine

With pristine views of glittering Lake Huron, Kincardine is a beating heart of local trail activity. With over 26km of trails within the town of Kincardine itself and connections to both Inverhuron Provincial Park ‘s network and the Bruce County Rail Trail, you’ll find a ton of opportunities to explore the area on the Great Lakes Waterfront Trail and beyond.

Kincardine’s soft sand beaches and boardwalk are a pleasure to stroll and its restaurants, including the locally-famous Erie Belle are a treat.  You’ll find a selection of comfortable local accommodations to serve as an ideal base for the start or end to any Great Lakes Waterfront Trail journey.

Kincardine celebrates a rich Scottish heritage.  With a weekly Scottish Pipe Band Parade every summer Saturday evening and the Kincardine Scottish Festival and Highland Games each July, the town’s slogan,  ‘pants optional’ will soon make sense to you. Come and bring your kilt!

Every Monday between Victoria Day and Labour Day weekend in Victoria Park, the town hosts a market that will tantalize you with local produce, goods and fresh baking.
