NEMI

A heartland of scenery, history, tradition and adventure, the Town of Northeastern Manitoulin and the Islands (NEMI) is your northern gateway to travelling Manitoulin Island.  In Little Current, you’ll find several eateries and accommodations for a comfortable stay, and, of course, breathtaking waterfront views. For those looking for a broader vista, make sure to visit the nearby MacLeans Mountain Lookout, the trading post at Ten Mile Point, or range further afield to hike the famous Cup and Saucer Trail!

With a ton of opportunities to explore, NEMI is an ideal base for your GLWT and broader Manitoulin Island cycling adventures.

The Great Lakes Waterfront Trail on Manitoulin Island travels along the paved shoulders of Highway 6 and is recommended for those comfortable riding on road, near traffic, including truck traffic.
