Trail passes along pretty residential streets, some of which feature the cheerfully coloured historic cottages of Grimsby Beach that were once part of a religious camp.
You can enjoy another piece of history at the Pumphouse at Forty Mile Creek Park. This facility has been restored to its 1930’s splendour and houses photographs and panels explaining the area’s history. Travelling through Grimsby on your Waterfront Trail journey you’ll also enjoy waterfront parks, a local marina, a nearby connection to a splendid historic downtown and plenty of emerging cycling infrastructure.
Year over year, Grimsby’s off-road Waterfront Trail is growing. At the edge of town, just inside the Hamilton border, you’ll also find Fifty Point Conservation Area, with a beach, marina, camping and walking trails.
